Welcome
Northampton Academy is a successful, vibrant, welcoming and inclusive 11-18 Academy.
We are a proud member of United Learning, a group of schools who share the motto: ‘The Best
in Everyone’. At Northampton Academy, we aim to provide our students with a safe and caring
environment within which they can achieve the very best academic qualifications and skills to
progress to university or the career of their choice.
We are pleased with our GCSE results which place Northampton Academy as the number one
secondary school in Northampton for the progress made by our students between starting in
Year 7 and finishing in Year 11. Our Progress 8 score of 0.37 is in the top 7% in the country.
At A Level, our students achieved a value added ALPS score of 3 on a 1-9 scale, with 1 being the
best. This is consistent with some of the very best Post-16 providers in the country and many of
our students go on to Russell Group universities including Oxford and Cambridge.
These outcomes are a reflection of our high expectations and the hard work of our students and staff. We strive to ensure
students leave Northampton Academy as confident, ambitious and high-achieving individuals.
This year, we have a focus on raising our standards even further; particularly in literacy, behaviour and progress for all students,
and our parents want the same for their children.
We are continuing on our journey to clearly communicate and embed our values - Ambition, Confidence, Creativity, Respect,
Enthusiasm and Determination, so that we can maintain high standards of integrity and discipline. We insist that our students
wear their uniform with pride and be excellent ambassadors for Northampton Academy in the local community
and beyond.
Northampton Academy is a wonderful school and I look forward to working with you to ensure that we do indeed achieve
‘The Best in Everyone’.
Mr. Nat Parnell, Principal.
