A group of Year 10 students are participating in the UNI Club project at the University of Northampton. They attended the first day of a six-week project at the university's Waterside Campus alongside other schools.
Two PhD students from the university took initial group sessions about 'Finance and Investments - Why does it matter?' and 'Mental Health – What’s the point?', which the students will continue with as part of the project.
In addition to the initial lessons, the students attended an inspirational workshop on careers and routes to higher education, then enjoyed a tour of the university campus to see the facilities and hear about further opportunities offered by the university.
Following this event, the students will participate in six weeks of lessons taught by their university tutors at school. They will complete a project on their chosen subject, which will be taught in a university-style format and assessed.
