Thank you to all those who attended this year's Sixth Form Open Evening, it was a successful evening and we were pleased to welcome a record number of Year 11 students and their families, both from Northampton Academy and other schools in the area.
The evening featured an introduction from Mrs Rigby, our Head of Sixth Form, detailing student outcomes, success stories and destinations along with an outline of all the fantastic opportunities offered to our students - including our careers advice provision, our 1:1 information and guidance meetings, leadership, coaching, enrichment, work experience placements and UCAS support to name but a few.
Puneet and James, our head boy and girl told us about their Sixth Form experiences along with Maia and Nassor, current Year 12 students.
Students were invited to visit our state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre and subject areas and talk to teachers and students where the Sixth Form Ambassadors were available for Q&As.
Our Nucleus STEM department was open for visitors, where they could find out more about our bespoke Nucleus VI programmes for Year 12 students who have aspirations to study medicine or engineering after Sixth Form. In the canteen area, we welcomed an abundance of universities and other organisations to give students their expert guidance and advice.
