Year 13 Politics, History, and Sociology students visited the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey to learn more about the law-making process and the relationship between the monarchy and Parliament.
They enjoyed a tour of the Houses of Parliament, where they met former Health Secretary Matt Hancock MP. Afterwards, they took part in a workshop on how a law is passed through Parliament, which saw them presenting their own ideas for new laws to be created. Finally, they took a tour of Westminster Abbey to learn about the historical importance of the building as the site of royal coronations dating back to 1066.
