On Thursday 27thJune some of our Nucleus STEM students attended the Northamptonshire Education Awards at The Deco Theatre in Northampton.
The students were thrilled to win the Young Scientists/Engineers Award. Over 500 people attended the awards and their award was one of twelve which were handed out in a variety of categories.
The students had already enjoyed success when they won the regional heats of the National Robotics Challenge competition at Warwick University, being one of 40 teams shortlisted to present their robot at the National Big Bang Science Fair at the Birmingham NEC.
The STEM 10 team; Neal, Domantas, Liam, Edwin, Aayush, Dylan, Jessica, Molly, Riley and Abdul were delighted to win the award, in recognition of the hard work that they and Miss Davies had put into the developing and building their robot.
Huge congratulations to the students, who have shown our Academy values of Respect, Determination and Ambition, and proved that demonstrating these values can lead to success. We are confident of more awards success for our Nucleus students in the future.
