Congratulations to Maths teacher, Nicola Grant, who is passionate about netball and is very excited to be attending the National Finals of the School Games as a team manager for Wasps Netball. Ten Super League netball teams are competing in the event, which takes place at Loughborough University this month. The university has worked in conjunction with the Youth Sport Trust to create an inspirational and motivational setting which helps accustom the country’s most promising young athletes to a high quality and high pressure environment. Northampton Academy is proud to have received a Youth Sports Trust Bronze Award for School Games, for the student's participation and leadership in sport.
As well as being one of our fantastic maths teachers, and team manager for Wasps, Nicola is also one of the senior coaches at the local club Northants Storm, who are providers of the coaching for our Elite Netball Programme sessions. Her achievements and those of her team will encourage our Elite Netball Squads to aim high and achieve their ambitions.
