Year 10 student Chelsea recently decided it was time to lose her long locks and have a major haircut, trimming off a whole 17 inches!
As this was such a major decision for Chelsea, whose hair had grown extremely long over the years, she decided that if she was going to take the plunge, that she wanted to make sure her hair was put to good use.
Chelsea's mum came up with the idea to donate the 17 inches of hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides wigs made of real hair, free of charge, to children and young adults up to the age of 24, who have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
Not only did she donate her hair, caring Chelsea worked hard to gain sponsorship from friends and family and raised a fantastic sum of £400 for the charity.
