Following on from the delivery of the Employability Programme last term, Year 10 students received a presentation from Dominic Ayres, a Marketing Specialist who currently works for the international law firm Eversheds Sutherland. The presentation highlighted how studying English at GCSE applies to your life and career. Dominic covered the importance of effective communication in the workplace, the role English plays in the hiring process and how vital it is to create your personal brand.

These factors will elevate students' chances of gaining that dream job, course, or work placement. We must remember that our verbal or non-verbal language communicates our values and integrity. Thanks to Dominic for his time and for sharing his expertise and experience.
