Five students at Northampton Academy were treated to brunch with the Principal after receiving their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze certificates.
Mr Jones welcomed Isaac, Edward, Hadi, Emma and Bogdan as they discussed the range of experiences they undertook to receive the iconic award, before being presented by the Principal with their certificates and commemorative pin badges.
The Duke of Edinburgh award is an opportunity for anyone who is aged between 14-24 years old to have fun with friends, discover new interests and talents, develop essential skills for life and work and is a recognised mark of achievement, which is widely respected by employers.
Speaking about the achievements of our students, Mr Jones said: “The Duke of Edinburgh award is a prestigious award and shows our students have the willingness and determination to continue their learning outside of the school environment, which is highly commendable. All the students have shown incredible spirit to complete the award criteria to the best of their abilities and we’re extremely proud of them.”
