On Thursday, 9th February, the newest recruits to the Sports Leaders Team gathered together for their one-day training course towards achieving the National Level 1 qualification in Sports Leadership. The leaders worked hard through the day on theoretical and practical aspects of leadership, gaining an understanding of the critical skills and behaviours needed for their role, considerations when planning effective sports sessions and demonstrating their problem-solving, teamwork and adaptability. It was such a pleasure to witness their development in just one day.

We look forward to seeing their skills progress in their upcoming practical leadership opportunities at the County Winter Games and Year 4 Multisport Festival that Northampton Academy will host. In addition, the leaders now have the chance to evidence their progress as part of the NA Sports Leadership Team across the next few months, hopefully gaining their full accreditation by the end of the academic year.
