Nucleus VI Engineering students visited the Silverstone Museum to learn about engineering and F1 motor racing. The students learned how many people in different careers work toward getting an F1 car to the starting line. They also learned about the development of different materials to build the cars and were able to handle tyres, race suits, exhaust systems, and helmets, and we got an up-close look at a V8 engine. In the afternoon, they had time to explore the museum exhibits and race remote-controlled cars around a model of the Silverstone race track.
