Northampton Academy welcomed the BBC's Bitesize Careers Tour on Friday as they delivered a day of sessions to our students regarding future opportunities and to discuss the past experiences of the visiting panel.
Andy Mains, an In-Country Training Specialist of the Wellcome Sanger Institute, Lily-May Symonds, a Social Media Journalist at BBC Three Counties Radio, and Kieran Bullivant, an Engineering Manufacturing Technician at The Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry, made up the guest panel as they covered a variety of topics, including relevant qualifications, personal anecdotes, advice on work experience and key soft skills for the workplace.
It was great to welcome our guests to the Academy for this initiative and it ensured a fantastic opportunity for our students to gain some key advice from professionals to help inspire a future career across a variety of different, exciting industries.
We thank Andy, Lily-May, and Kieran for their time and insight throughout the day.
