Northampton Academy was delighted to host an event provided by Ford Dealer Allen Ford this week. The team brought a range of high-performance cars with them, including a Mustang, showcasing the advanced technology employed within the motor industry. 

A number of Year 10 and 11 students enjoyed a presentation detailing available apprenticeship routes. These included Vehicle Technicians, Paint and Panel Technicians and Business Administration. Linda Baxter, Group Environmental Social Governance Manager, was keen to point out that opportunities to develop your role continue over time. Allen Ford endeavours to support young people in finding a career that meets their skill set and interests. 

A lunchtime event followed, which was open to all students. They were able to check out the cars and ask questions to learn more about the motor vehicle industry. 

The event was a fantastic success, enjoyed by everyone. Our thanks to Linda for organising the event and the team from Allen Ford. We look forward to welcoming them back to the Academy in the future.
