Year 12 took part in “The Hub Challenge” hosted by Wise Up Team-building.
The team-building activity day took place during their first week to encourage interaction and to help students to get to know each other better. The day featured a range of problem solving and challenges, that students were tasked with working together to solve.
Great fun was had by all who took part, here is what the students said:
“I believe the team building event was an excellent experience for Year 12 as it helped everyone get to know each other and understand how people work in a team. It helped me start to build relationships with my fellow peers due to the bonding experience we had which was really encouraging". - Azaria B
"It was even more exciting than sports day! The activities were set out in an amazing way to get everyone involved and encourage communication with each other, they were fun and exhilarating. Half-way through the day, I was actually very disappointed that it was nearly over. It was a day I think the whole of Year 12 will never forget.” - Mia B
“As a new student on that day, I was fairly shy but through working within a welcoming team I felt much more confident, as the day progressed. For example, on the wooden planks and ropes challenge, I was able to voice my opinions and ideas more confidently and freely than at the start of the day. It has also helped me to fit in more easily with others around school.”
