Top of the Town
Key Stage 3 students competed at the Level 2 (District) School Sports Partnerships County School Games. They fought off all competition to win the tournament and were crowned Northampton Town Champions. Well done to Leo, Jake, Daniel O and Daniel M, who earned the team a place in the Level 3 County Games.
County Champions!
Following the team's success in the Level 2 District Games, Northampton Academy's table tennis team went on to represent Northampton in the finals competition which took place at “Corby Smash”.
The boys, Daniel M, Nathan and Daniel O beat off tough competition from five other schools, each representing different areas of the county to come away victorious, winning all of their individual matches, with games won being accumulated to give an overall score.
- First Place = Northampton Academy – 86 games won.
- Second place = Kettering Science Academy (KSA)– 85 games won.
- Third place = Bishop Stopford – 78 games won.
The boys displayed the Academy values of Respect, Determination and Ambition throughout the competition and were complimented on both their behaviour and playing ability. All caught the attention of the event organisers and were encouraged to join clubs outside of school.
