We are very proud of our determined swimmer Isobelle, who was thrilled when she recently won a gold medal in the Nuneaton and District Junior League. In addition to this, she very nearly secured a bronze too! Ambitious Isobelle has been swimming since she was just two years old.
Isobelle told us, “I have been swimming for nine years and I train for 11 hours a week, once on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and twice on a Friday, when I’m up early to train at 5 am and then again in the evening. I have won a gold medal in the Junior League and I was only 0.4 seconds away from a bronze for the 200m back crawl. I enjoy swimming because it’s something that keeps me busy, fit and is sociable. My long-term ambition is to make it to the Olympics and win a gold medal for Team GB.”
We look forward to seeing Isobelle follow her dream to be part of Team GB one day.
