Well done to our Year 8 student who has recently raised over £500 for Parkinson’s UK, a charity close to her heart. Sydney knitted a creative range of cute knitted owls which proved so popular they sold out very quickly, meaning she had to start taking orders for them.
The owls are sold through her mum’s Facebook page and her dad has helped by selling them through his workplace.
Owls sell for £2 each for the standard size and the larger size owls are £3. Decorative hanging owls were knitted for the festive season and Sydney has now added Valentine owls to the collection.
“I want to thank my family for all their help fulfilling the orders and especially my dad who helped me sell so many!”. Mrs Smith, her form tutor is very proud of her and has agreed to allow the owls to be sold in her classroom.
This donation will help Parkinson’s UK continue to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by the disease.
