Northampton Academy hosted a Festive Afternoon Tea for local senior citizens on Wednesday, December 6th.
The event was organised by our Parent Voice Ambassadors as part of our "Community Matters" initiative to engage with and help the local community. The event was attended by residents of Abington Lodge and Elizabeth House, as well as parents and relatives of staff members.
A group of student helpers were thrilled to volunteer for the event. They welcomed the guests, served food and drinks, and enjoyed playing Bingo with them. One student even gave her prize to one of the guests, demonstrating our values of respect and integrity.
During the event, guests enjoyed music played by our resident pianist, Meshack, and then followed the Bingo. At the end of the festivities, the Parent Ambassadors distributed personalised gift decorations to everyone.
Karen Kay, the manager at Elizabeth Lodge, expressed her gratitude, saying that her residents had a wonderful time and appreciated the effort put into the event.
We want to thank Carpets 4 Less in Milton Keynes, Gifts and Bows, and Parent Ambassadors Mandeep and Lisa for their prize donations. We also extend our gratitude to our Parent Ambassadors, catering team, site team, and all the staff and students who helped make the event such a great success.
We are already looking forward to the next one.
