‘Market A Penguin’ Year 7 Enterprise Event
Year 7 students participated in an enterprise event, designed to broaden their understanding of various roles within the business world, in addition to developing skills of teamwork, communication and problem solving – all vital to future career opportunities.
Representatives from industry who kindly gave their time mentor and support students, sharing their experience within their fields.
Students were tasked with creating a variety of origami penguins to a specific business brief, negotiating a competitive price for resources required to produce further penguins, before putting together a ‘dragon’s den’ style presentation in a bid to secure future funding for their enterprise.
The winners of the competition were those who presented the most persuasive argument for further funding, thereby securing the most profit.
