On Wednesday 20 November, Northampton Academy welcomed guests from fellow United Learning schools as we hosted an excellence visit of our Geography department.
Our guests were given a tour of the Academy, before overseeing a variety of Geography lessons ranging from Year 7 to Year 10 — giving an opportunity for our visitors to observe teaching methods, student interaction and general teaching and learning throughout the day.
Our Head of Geography, Miss Ryrie, said: "It was great to welcome three of our counterparts to the Academy today, we're extremely proud of the work we do within the classroom and we're confident our students enjoy being in the environment.
"It's such a special subject and our teachers do a great job of bringing our lessons and teaching to life, so it was nice to be able to showcase that and hopefully our guests are going away with some things that they're able to implement elsewhere."
