As part of our Community Matters character programme, we held a Summer Fair to raise funds for the charity to celebrate the last day of term. Students and staff were also invited to wear Mufti for a £1 donation.
To start the day, Mr Queally and Mrs Buckley handed garlands to passing cars dressed in colourful holiday outfits complete with lilos and suitcases. Then, in their year groups, students participated in several fundraising activities with an array of inflatables, face painting, nail art, penalty shootouts and much more to enjoy.
Students enjoyed the 'Sponge a Teacher' chance at lunchtime for a small donation. This year, not only with sponges but whole buckets! Thank you to all the brave staff that took part, and all got suitably soaked, and to the Sixth Form students who organised it.
The day was a great success and a fitting way to end the year. Thanks to Mr Anderson and all the staff and students who worked hard to organise the event. We wish everyone a restful holiday and look forward to seeing students again in September and welcoming our new students in Years 7 and 12.
