IT Girls Allowed is an event hosted and organised by Barclaycard, designed to inspire Key Stage3 girls to consider IT as one of their chosen subjects for GCSE, and possibly even a career in the field. A group of Year 9 students attended the event and enjoyed a day of information and challenges based around robotics, coding and encryption. 

Year 9 Nucleus STEM students visited Bletchley Park to investigate the different types of encryption techniques that were used in the war as well as in today’s society.

Ricky Munday CA who gave a talk to students about his ascent to the top of Mount Everest, and his voluntary work with the Red Cross and other organisations. An inspirational talk demonstrating how his perseverance, resilience and goal-setting overcame adversity.

On Thursday 14th November, Year 12 student Mia attended a Nursing Careers event at Northampton General Hospital, as part of her exploration and preparation for a course of study, aimed at a career in Nursing.  

Year 10 student, Abbie has added to her growing collection of awards this week when she was awarded The Young Volunteer of the Year Award, at the Northamptonshire Sports Awards.
