Northampton Academy is celebrating after Assistant Principal Amy Patterson is named School Leader of the Year at United Learning’s Best in Everyone Awards 2022, held at The Queens Hotel in Leeds.

Last week we said our emotional goodbyes to our Year 11 and 13 leavers. After two difficult and disrupted years of coping with the pandemic, these year groups have shown steadfast determination and resilience in how they have worked towards their GCSE and A Level exams. We are proud of each and every one of them. It was a day of mixed emotions; relief at finishing their exams, sadness at closing this chapter of their lives, yet excitement at what's in store for the future.

Congratulations to the student leaders who have just completed the Barclays Game On Football Programme. They have been working extremely hard since September, planning and organising football tournaments to deliver to girls across the school.

The Northampton Academy Year 7 Athletics Team travelled to Corby for the Town Athletics Championships. Most of these students are new to the sport, yet they performed exceptionally and displayed great determination and team spirit.

June is celebrated internationally as Pride Month, and here at Northampton Academy, we are joining in the celebrations of our LGBTQIA+ community. Our students, supported by staff, have worked tirelessly to put together one of the biggest celebrations of Pride our school has seen.
