Calling all Doctors, Nurses and Vets in the making!
Open to all students from schools in the surrounding area, Operating Theatre Live brings its award-winning GCSE and A Level surgical experience to Northampton Academy on Saturday 7th March 2020.
Aimed at students aged 14-19 who are considering a career in nursing, healthcare medicine, dentistry or veterinary science, join Operating Theatre Live as you take on the role of a surgeon, practising real surgical techniques on real specimens.
Dissect body parts, learn about anaesthetics, infection control and communication skills at interviews as well as receive starter materials for the UCAT and BMAT.
9.00am - 3.00pm
The Future Healthcare ticket is aimed at any student considering a career in health, biosciences or any other discipline requiring a knowledge of anatomy and how the body works. Future healthcare tickets provide a deep insight into how the human body functions and offers the chance to dissect real specimens learning GCSE, A Level, BTEC, Nat5 and Highers’ biology for the national exams. This ticket includes scrub hire, full PPE and all clinics 1-6.
Stethoscopes and lunch can be purchased as extras on the booking page.
NUPE is the National UCAT Practice Exam, aimed at all students aged 14-19 who are considering a career in medicine or dentistry here in the UK or further afield. We highly recommend you attend at least one practice exam event before sitting the UCAT exam. Some students attend on an annual basis to ensure they have built up the skills and confidence to pass with a good result –increasing their chances of selection at the UK’s best universities. This can only be purchased in addition to a Future Healthcare ticket.
