On Friday, September 13th, the Spotlight students at Northampton Academy welcomed Northampton Mayor Paul Joyce for the opening of the new Amphitheatre in the woodland area behind the school.

In the past three months, seven students from Northampton Academy have collaborated with Silhouette Youth Theatre and two other Northampton schools. The combined cast of 21 students performed the opening scenes from Hamlet at The Swan Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon as part of the RSC’s Playmaking Festival.
