Northampton Academy will be hosting a Food Bank on Saturday (11th January) for families to attend and stock up on essential items.
Here at the Academy we're keen to help our community wherever possible, and before Christmas we appealed for donations to our food bank where students, parents and staff all donated generously.
There is now an opportunity on Saturday for the families of our students to benefit from this and attend our food bank between 9.30am and 11.30am.
Speaking about the initiative, Principal Mr Jones said: "We feel it's vitally important to open our doors to the local community whenever possible, and the food bank will allow us to help distribute the essential items raised before the Christmas break.
"We know this time of year can be difficult for parents and carers so to be able to support like this highlights our commitment to supporting our local community, and we know the items will go a long way to helping those in need. Thank you to everyone who has donated to our food bank over the past few weeks."
