Winners of the 'Robot Design' Category go through to the national finals at Birmingham NEC

To celebrate World Book Day 2019 Northampton Academy been taking part in various reading activities, both on the day and during the weeks leading up to the event.

Year 7 students participated in an enterprise event, designed to broaden their understanding of various roles in business, as well as developing the skills of teamwork, communication and problem solving – skills vital to their future careers.

Northampton Academy has achieved a Bronze Award from the Young Carers in Schools programme for its work supporting young carers.

The programme, run by national charity the Carers Trust, helps primary and secondary schools improve outcomes for young carers and celebrates good practice through the Young Carers in Schools Award.

On Thursday 14^th February the Sports Leaders Team spent the day training towards completing the SL-1 qualification. This nationally recognised qualification develops the skills, qualities and characteristics of the students, enabling them to enhance their leadership skills.
