In the past three months, seven students from Northampton Academy have collaborated with Silhouette Youth Theatre and two other Northampton schools. The combined cast of 21 students performed the opening scenes from Hamlet at The Swan Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon as part of the RSC’s Playmaking Festival.
Our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were thrilled to perform on such an iconic stage with professional lighting, sound, and a band. The cast demonstrated determination and ambition by mastering challenging dialogue and cues, providing our students with a taste of the life of a professional actor.
