In January, two of our Nucleus VI students completed their hospital work experience at Northampton General Hospital. Both students had a fantastic week, with the privilege of seeing many different aspects of the medical profession.
David said:
"It was amazing. It has completely affirmed my desire to become a doctor and help other people. I saw a wide range of things, but watching a live caesarean section and was an experience that I will never forget."
Eloise was equally inspired by her experience, stating:
"I had an incredible time. The paediatrics ward was particularly tough, but rewarding and seeing all of the set up behind surgery was fascinating. It has given me even more motivation to achieve my goal of becoming a doctor."
The remainder of the Nucleus VI cohort has their work experience at the hospital still to come. If you are interested in Nucleus VI or the upcoming Live Theatre Experience of Operating Theatre Live please contact us at Nucleus@northampton-academy.org.
