This week 16 girls from Northampton Academy were invited to Sixfields Stadium, the home of Northampton Town Football Club, to participate in a Talent ID Schools Football Event organised by Charlene Ward-Greef, Head of Women & Girls Football at the club.
The day started with a tour of the stadium, allowing students to see the dressing rooms and player areas; they then took part in football skills sessions led by NTFC CT coaches, followed by three 8x8 games on the pitch.
After the matches had finished, all players were given a debrief along with a certificate. The day was a resounding success and thoroughly enjoyed by all.
