Year 10 students received fantastic advice on how to impress at interview, in particular towards future higher education interactions.
Nina Antell, Marketing Officer from the University of Northampton delivered an assembly confirming the dos and don’ts of exemplary interview practise. This presentation re-enforced the interview practise that students have been undergoing in recent weeks in preparation for their mock interview day on Friday 3rd April.
Nina aimed to dispel nerves by throwing questions at the year group that they couldn’t prepare for – much as some interviewers do in real-life situations. Students were asked ‘If you were a biscuit, what biscuit would you be and why?’ A question designed to see if the interviewee can think on their feet, using initiative and creative thinking. Students gave some interesting and considered answers.
Our thanks to Nina for supporting our students by providing information essential to young people as they prepare for the workplace.
