Feeding Britain’s Future is a nationwide education programme that informs and inspires young people about the world of work and helps build their employability skills. A workshop was delivered to students in Year 9 recently, supported by professionals employed in STEM roles from the food and grocery industry.
During the session, students identified the transferable skills they develop every day at school. Further activities encouraged them to understand how these translate into employability skills for work. In addition, students also learned about the diverse range of roles in the food and grocery industry and the skills required to succeed.
We thank Simone Watson from IGD for hosting the workshops and our volunteers from Tesco and Greencore who supported students throughout the morning.
