This week students from Northampton International Academy visited Northampton Academy to open the Year 9 and 10 Northants County Netball League campaign.
Year 9
The Year 9 squad made a strong start at the beginning of the game and continued to build confidence and performance to win 15 goals to 2. Individual defence skills have been the focus for the last five weeks, and it was rewarding to see the new defensive skills implemented effectively and consistently. The squad showed growth as players and as a team which is very encouraging for future games. Final score 15-2
Year 10
This squad are strong and athletic, and the control of their speed of play from the initial weeks has shown positive growth. Two Year 9 players were played up into the squad and seamlessly complemented the Year 10 team. Final score 22-10
Well done to both teams, who supported each other on and off the court, showing good sportsmanship with their opponents, reflecting the ethos of being part of our Elite Netball Squad.
