Throughout the year, two of Northampton Academy's digital leaders, Ashiki and Cameron, have planned to deliver an e-safety session on a topic of their choice to a local primary school.
Ashiki and Cameron contacted their old primary school, Ecton Brook, and asked if they could deliver a session on Digital Footprints and creating social media accounts to the Year 6 cohort. Headteacher, Mrs Archer, was delighted to let them teach the lesson to all three Year 6 groups. Ashiki and Cameron have shown outstanding leadership and organisation skills while planning and delivering the lessons.
Ashiki said: "This has been a thoroughly enjoyable and enriching experience because we have been able to visit the wider community and reach out to the younger cohort – some of which will join us at this school in September. In addition, we were able to educate them on a vital topic for today's society which is becoming increasingly digitalised."
