The day started with Year 8 STEM waiting in the school cafeteria, where Mrs Staff divided the large group into two, so we could separate ourselves for the minibus. When we sat down on the minibus, we smoothly made our way up to Silverstone - the trip took 30 minutes. We stayed in our groups and experienced two different activities when we arrived.
As part of their co-curricular work, Nucleus STEM Students have been opting to do six-week modules in different areas of STEM.

Sixth Form students presented a STEM lecture based on their recent EPQ project about artificial intelligence. The students talked about the developments of AI since 2010 and its presence in microeconomics and healthcare, as well as AI’s application within healthcare.

Mrs Shreeja Ashton, our director of STEM hosted a Nucleus STEM Lecture in which she talked about Memory and Learning.

Mr Clyne delivered a lecture to students about his experiences of taking up his role as Principal and the leadership challenges he faced during the pandemic.
