Business Language Champions invited Year 9 students to participate in a workshop to challenge their French-speaking skills.
The 'Glastonbury Goes Global' workshop introduced students to careers within the event management sector, exploring marketing, technical stage management, and travel roles. In every aspect, competence in other languages can help forge an exciting career. Students completed a series of tasks relating to organising an international music festival. Along the way, they practised leadership, team building, and communication skills and put their language knowledge into use by practising spontaneous speaking.
These events broaden students' understanding of how curriculum learning links with future options. Our thanks go to Sally Fagan of Business Language Champions and her team of volunteers for encouraging our students and supporting them through the workshop.
