Senior Credit Risk Analyst

I left Northampton Academy in 2011 after completing my A Levels. I went on to Keele University to study a dual honours degree in Mathematics and Psychology. I knew this degree could open up many avenues as there wasn't a specific job that I was looking for. After three years, I gained an Upper Second Class Honours degree and was still interested in understanding people's behaviours.

I joined a company called Shop Direct, known more commonly as the brands Very and Littlewoods, where I started working as a Credit Risk Analyst. In this role, I got to observe customers' behaviours as well as learning about the world of Financial Services.

I later had the opportunity to move teams as well as receiving a promotion to Senior Credit Risk Analyst. Analytics is not a career that anyone thinks about when leaving university; however, it opens a lot of opportunities that are worthwhile for career development.
