Associate Product Manager with American Express
After studying A Levels in Maths, Physics and History at Northampton Academy, I secured a place at Nottingham Trent University to read for a degree in Physics in 2010. After getting a 2:1 in my first year, I spent the majority of my 2nd year applying to companies offering industrial placements. I was fortunate enough to secure a Junior Software Developer position with the Science and Technologies Facilities Council, working at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire for a year. I then returned to university and graduated in June 2014.
In January 2015 I got an offer for a job on a graduate training program – it was with American Express, starting in September the same year. I joined as a Technology Analyst, where I have done 6-month rotations in different business areas. I have had the opportunity to work as a Junior Architect, a Software Developer and Quality Assurance Tester.
I have now completed the graduate scheme and I have landed the role of Associate Product Manager for some of our digital initiatives.
